I was lucky enough to be invited to attend LG’s Art of the Pixel Gala which was held at the gorgeous Gotham Hall! Dinner was provided as Neil Patrick Harris presented the awards to the winners and Sam Smith performed a private concert afterwards. For footage of the dinner, venue and the overall event, head over to my Youtube channel to see it in a few days!
As for the dress, I rented it at Rent the Runway and I thought the service was great! This was actually the second style I ordered since the first dress I ordered (I didn’t get a second size because it was not available) did not fit. I called their customer support line all I had to do was pay an extra $12 for overnight shipping for another dress in two sizes. The dress I picked is by Carmen Marc Valvo, which I paid $80 for. After taxes and shipping, the total was about $110 but luckily, I was a new user so I was able to get $25 with a promo code they provided.
Since the dress is such a bold statement, I decided to keep the accessories simple with some nude heels and a white lace clutch. The reason I went with a white lace clutch is because it was the only clutch I owned and I did not want to go out and buy another one. Mainly due to the fact that I doubt I will be attending another gala anytime soon and it might not match my next dress anyways. The clutch itself is by a brand called PinkCosmo and I 100% do not recommend, this was the first time I actually used it for going out, not just taking photos, and the whole thing fell apart. The studs as feet were falling out, the shoulder chain broke, and the magnet closure did not hold up.
