Shake it Off
This shawl has made a few appearances in past blog posts, and sadly to say, it might not make it to future posts. I don’t know what possessed me to think that throwing it in the drier was a good idea, but I did and now it’s a ball of noodles. A large ball of noodles that not even my roommate knew what became of it. Of course, I’m going to try to salvage what I can from this as it was my favorite kimono/shawl piece I have ever owned. Although it is one of the most impractical pieces of clothing I own, it is one of the most fun. I love just walking around in the breeze with the fringe blowing behind me…until it gets caught on something. The shawl gets caught on something so often that sometimes when I wear it out, I have to take it off and store it in my purse to speed up the walking process. But as you can see, the movement is very beautiful, and maybe the fringe will still be beautiful with a haircut.
If it’s not salvageable my only consolation was that I purchased it for $5 at Urban Outfitters.
