I flew into the California heat a couple days prior, and nothing is more perfect for a hot summer day than a simple white dress. White is a chic, timeless color with a practical side as well. It doesn’t absorb as much heat as my trusted darks, and brings an effortless quality to the look.
To toughen up the simple dress, I decided to go with my trusty Jeffery Campbell cut-out boots, though I admit I switched to flip flops after the shoot due to the heat. I then layered a blue printed button up on top to give the outfit some color and also to adjust for lower indoor temperatures. The outfit was then topped off with a bright yellow bag to channel some more color to hit my goal of wearing more colors.
